Hoschke Family Bible
The book ‘Lives Obscurely Great’ was published in 1980 and contains a chapter named ‘Mary Ann Hoschke’ by Patricia Ryan.
It is based on unpublished notes made by George England. His material, from handwritten notes, typed notes and newspaper articles was also used for the book ‘Settlers at Orara – The Hoschke Family in Australia’.
There is also mention of consulting the Hoschke family bible. Did the Coffs Harbour Historical Society have the bible? If not, where did Patricia Ryan get access to it?
In the 1800’s family bibles were used to record basic details such as births, deaths and marriages.
Does anybody have any information about the whereabouts of the Hoschke family bible? It would be wonderful to get a scan or photo of the pages of family history details.
