Dear Family,
As the year draws to a close, we want to take a moment to thank each and every one of you for being part of our Hoschke Family Reunion community. It’s been a privilege to share stories and memories, to celebrate our ancestors lives and create meaningful connections.
We would like to share with you some Christmas cards from times past, each one a nod to the connections we have made this year. Firstly, a Christmas wish to Amandus from his brother Karl in Germany back in 1898. This is in recognition of the connections we have made back to Germany this year. In 2024 we made contact with the family of Hans Ulrich Hoschke, a cousin from Germany. This has been a particular joy as it continues the communication that Amandus shared with the family who remained in the homeland.

This year, Ian has also made contact with the family of Frederick Goeths who family stories from both sides tell, travelled to Australia with Amandus. The card below was sent to the Hoschke family from the Goeth family.
DNA testing has also provided connections to other descendants in Germany, Scandinavia, America and the UK. In addition we have discovered many connections within the Australian community, including over 30 connections each to the Drew and Davis families. The card below represents our connections to other families in Australia, it is a card sent to Minnie by her cousin Doris. Doris’ father George Drew was Mary Hoschke’s brother.

Lastly, we would like to share a card below that represents the closeness of family, a card sent to Annie by her brother Ernest, both children of Amandus and Mary.
So whether your Christmas wishes are travelling to the other side of the globe or in the same home, we wish peace, joy, and time with loved ones and a safe and happy new year in 2025. May it bring you happiness, good health, and cherished moments with family and friends.
Regards,
Ian & Kylie
