Arthur was the youngest child of Amandus and Mary. Arthur passed away tragically on this day in 1905 of rheumatic fever at eleven years of age. His temperature registered as high as 109 and pulse up to 117. There was a large funeral in Coffs Harbour attended by the teacher, Miss Grainger and pupils from the school then known as Dunvegan.
