The last of Amandus and Mary’s children, Annie, passed away

Hoschke grandson, Walter Frank Hoschke passed away on the Gold Coast, QLD at the age of 65. He left behind his wife Muriel and children Nola, Marjorie and Robin to mourn his loss.

Hoschke grandson Keith William Hoschke, passed away in Mt Isa, QLD at the age of 35.

September 1974 started with a warning that a potentially explosive fire season was ahead in summer, Douglas Grahame Hoschke was Captain and Fire Permit Officer of the Upper Orara Volunteer Bush Fire Brigade. – Bananacoast Opinion

Later that month Doug’s attention was taken away by the sudden passing of his father Arthur Charles Hoschke at the age of 66. Funeral Notice Arthur left his wife Jean, mother Clunie, 5 sons and daughter-in-laws and 19 grandchildren.

Less than three months after Arthur’s passing, his mother Clunie Bain Hoschke nee Manson passed away in Coffs Harbour at the age of 90.

The Public Trustee will distribute the assets of the estates, having regard only to the claims of which at that date he has notice. Albert John Hoschke, known as Albert John Hiskins, other wise known as Herbert Hoskins, late of Baulkham Hills, N.S.W., pensioner, died 22nd January, 1939, intestate; an election to administer was filed on 26th August, 1975. Prepare for the worst and hope for the best – That was the advice given by the Fire Control Officer for the upcoming season. A new shed had been built just south of the Orara Hall which would have been a great community asset. Doug Hoschke, as well as cousin Athol Manson continued to be involved in the volunteer bush fire brigade.

Margaret Hoschke, wife of Edward Hoschke passed away on March 31st, leaving her son Geoffrey, daughter in law June and grandson Paul to mourn her loss. The Canberra Times
